Watch: Ben Simmons gets heckled while shopping at the mall inside a candy store

Another day, another bizarre post about former 76ers player Ben Simmons. This time, we have a video of Simmons shopping for candy alone in what appears to be a mall.
Watch: Ben Simmons heckled while buying candy
Judging by the comments under the video, it looks like this guy is known for finding NBA players and roasting them. I see a few in there talking about the same guy finding Chris Paul and saying he was Rajon Rondo.
The whole skit is pretty funny, but I’ll be honest… I’m not really into going up to athletes and shoving a camera in their face and roasting them. Pretty weird behavior and kinda childish.
However…
When that camera is being pointed at Ben Simmons, who is in the mall by himself, inside a candy shop (hilarious btw) completely alone, I’m all for it.
Ben then does what every fake tough guy does and put down his candy bag once the security guy got in between him and the guy with the camera. Then as the guy was leaving the store, Simmons finally decided to chirp back at him.
Maybe we should just consider it retribution to the way he treated and shit on all Philadelphia 76ers throughout last year?
Regardless, Ben Simmons will probably still sleep just fine tonight on the pile of money he received in his grievance settlement with the Nets and 76ers earlier this week.
I did not think that was possible, but the video does make me feel kinda sad, honestly. Imagine you’re at some store just buying your rich British TV host fiancée candy, using money you didn’t earn when suddenly some random guy shoves a camera in your face and starts going off on you comparing you to Russell West(brick) and telling you that you can’t shoot, which you are paid to do.
Sad bro.
This raises a secondary point. Why doesn’t Ben have a larger bodyguard? Shouldn’t there be a retired Navy SEAL hanging around him at all times specifically for this kind of moment? Still, the bodyguard seemed to work out for Simmons, as he did what every fake tough guy does and put down his candy bag once the security guy got in between him and the guy with the camera. Then as the guy was leaving the store, Simmons finally decided to chirp back at him.
Final Thought: I guess we can consider this some payback for the way he ended things with the Sixers. This is probably the closest thing to retribution we will ever get.
