Report: Browns RB Kareem Hunt would “welcome” a trade to the Eagles

As the Kareem Hunt trade rumors continue to grow louder, the Browns’ running back is seemingly open to playing in Philadelphia.
According to Senior NFL writer Armando Salguero of OutKick.com, Hunt would welcome a trade to the Eagles.
“Hunt would be open to the move, according to a source familiar with his thinking. No, he’s not demanding a trade, a source told OutKick on Friday, because he likes playing for the Browns. But if the Eagles value him enough to trade for him and give him a contract extension as part of the deal, he’d be very welcoming.”

Hunt, who’s scheduled to earn a base salary of $1.35 million this season, has been vocal about his desire for a new contract. The Browns extended fellow running back D’Ernest Johnson this summer, seemingly preparing themselves for an inevitable Hunt departure.
Although Hunt is coming off an injury-riddled 2021 season, he’s been productive during his three-year tenure in Cleveland, totaling over 2,100 yards from scrimmage and 19 TDs. Bringing him in would solidify a backfield that has been without Miles Sanders for much of camp due to hamstring issues.
