WATCH: Furkan Korkmaz is balling in Turkey, challenging Russell Crowe to 1v1, dropping hype videos, and starring in his own YouTube series

Everything you just read in the title of this article is true. However, to say the very least, Furkan Korkmaz had a disappointing NBA season last year with the Philadelphia 76ers.
The hope with Korkmaz was always that he would turn into a reliable sharpshooter for the 76ers, but that clearly wasn’t the case last year. Kork shot a career low 28.9% from three point range last season, averaging just 7.6 points per game with a 38.7% field goal percentage.
The result, was the 76ers rebuilding their entire bench and Korkmaz being pushed to the end of it heading into the 2022-23 season. Last May, Korkmaz vowed to fix his “broken” shot and come back better than ever for the 2022-23 season.
“Shots was not going in. It was sometimes mental, sometimes physical,” Korkmaz said. “But I know the problem. I don’t need to say it right now, but I know where is the problem and where is the answer to [fixing] it so it’s not going to be hard for me to find it, and then keep getting better.”
Over the weekend, videos popped up from the Turkey with Korkmaz lighting up the court while dawning a new-look shooters sleeve against Greece.
Furkan Korkmaz Highlight Reel
Korkmaz dropped 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 1 assist, shooting 8-of-12 from the floor while knocking down 4-of-6 from beyond the arc.
Side Note: Greece beat Turkey 89-80 and won the Acropolis International Basketball Tournament title.
Korkmaz will definitely have to bounce back this season and prove yet again that he’s a reliable option coming off the 76ers bench. I have my doubts, or at least I did, until I saw this epic hype video he released on Twitter.
Furkan Korkmaz Hype Video
Not only is he dropping the most badass internationally filmed hype videos of all time, he’s also mixing it up on Twitter with Russell Crowe.
It also appears that Furkan Korkmaz is doing his own reality television YouTube series while spending the offseason in Turkey. Who is this guy?!
Furkan Korkmaz: A Day in the Life
Regardless, none of this matters if we see Furkan Korkmaz take the court and he airballs a few three pointers. Time to lock in and put the theatrics behind us heading into the 2022-23 season.
