Preview: Aaron Nola, Phillies take the field at 7:05 looking for a 4-game sweep of the Reds

The Phillies take the field tonight against the Cincinnati Reds in hopes of a 4-game sweep.
Phillies ace Aaron Nola gets the ball, who is 8-10 on the year with a 3.25 ERA. He’ll face off against Justin Dunn, who is 1-1 with a 6.08 ERA in 2022.
The Phils are coming off a 7-5 win on Wednesday night, thanks to a JT Realmuto homer, 3 RBIs from Rhys Hoskins, and six solid innings from left-hander Cristopher Sanchez. The Fightins logged 15 hits and seven runs last night, including 9 from the first five hitters in the Phillies lineup.
Now 69-55 on the season, the Phillies go for their 70th win on the season before the month of August is over, as they won their 70th game on September 5th in 2021. Tonight’s game could also be the last game without star outfielder Bryce Harper, who has been tearing up AAA over two games and is eligible to come off of the IL on Friday.

Aaron Nola vs. Justin Dunn
Aaron Nola takes the hill for the Phils, coming off a tough outing against the New York Mets last Friday where he allowed five earned runs and eight hits in just five innings. Nola has been great on the season, going 8-10 with a 3.25 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP, good for fourth in all of baseball. Justin Dunn gets the ball for Cincinnati, who has thrown just three major league games this season, holding a 6.08 ERA and a 1.73 WHIP in just 13.1 innings.
