Cheers to Wally, the emotional support alligator seen in Love Park today

The vibes are at an all time high in Philadelphia today. Bryce Harper is back in the Phillies lineup, the weather is beautiful, and we closing out the final week of August with an absolute bang thanks to Wally, an emotional support alligator spotted in Love Park today.Â
A Twitter thread courtesy of @brimil blew up today after a picture of an alligator was enjoying the fountains in love park with a huge smile on his face.Â
Say hello to Wally, the emotional support alligator.
How fucking cool is that? Wally is out there on a leash like a good boy just trying to cool down in the hot summer weather just like the rest of us. What an uplifting sight to see in person. I’m jealous.
Don’t even get me started with the negativity about how you shouldn’t have an alligator in the city or in a residential house blah blah blah. Fuck that, Wally deserves to enjoy the finer things in Philadelphia just like everyone else. He’s not bothering anyone.
Get Wally down to Citizens Bank Park and let him throw out the first pitch tonight. Throw a Bryce Harper jersey on him and let’s treat him like the king he truly is.
As Britt’s twitter thread shows, Wally is more lovable than the majority of animals in this city. He likes to be pet and you can even pick him up if you want to.
Gators overall are cool as fuck. Have you ever seen the picture of the raccoon riding a gator like a god damn water taxi? No? Here, I’ll share it with you.

Shoutout to Wally for putting smiles on all of our faces as we kick it full gear into September.
