Eagles officially sign 15 players to their practice squad

With the 53-man roster set in stone, the Eagles have officially added 15 players to their 2022 practice squad.
As of now, the team can add one more player to their practice squad before they reach the 16-player limit.
Though it was reported by multiple outlets that the team had signed RB La’Mical Perine to their practice squad, he wasn’t included in the team’s official announcement. His agency even Tweeted that Perine was signing with the Eagles practice squad, making his omission a bit head scratching.
Perhaps the final remaining spot belongs to Perine and the practice squad contract just hasn’t been signed yet. It could be as simple as that.
Here’s a quick look at each player who made the cut.
WR Devon Allen: The Eagles will retain the two-time U.S. Olympian as a practice squad member. The 27-year-old wideout was a long shot to make the final roster, but he’s shown enough during camp and the preseason to warrant a spot on the practice squad.
G/T Kayode Awosika: The team originally signed the versatile offensive lineman as an undrafted free agent following to 2021 NFL Draft. Awosika made his NFL debut during the season finale against Dallas last season. With his versatility and raw traits, Awosika’s development will be in good hands with OL coach Jeff Stoutland.
RB Kennedy Brooks: The former Oklahoma RB signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent this offseason. He got plenty of run during the preseason, recording 75 rushing yards on 22 attempts through three games.

WR Deon Cain: A fan favorite this preseason, Deon Cain will remain in Philly as a member of the practice squad. The third-year wideout recorded eight receptions for 106 yards during preseason play. If the team suffers any major injuries at WR, Cain should be the first one brought up.
S Andre Chachere: Chachere has been a standout on special teams since joining the Eagles last season, posting the second-most special teams snaps of anyone on the team in 2021. If the special teams unit struggles this season, Chachere could get elevated to the active roster.
T Le’Raven Clark: Clark has spent four seasons in the NFL and is entering his second with the Eagles. He appeared in four games last season and made his lone start in Week 18 against Dallas.
WR Britain Covey: Another fan favorite this offseason, undrafted rookie Britain Covey will continue his development on the Eagles practice squad. If the Eagles struggle in the return game this season, Covey could make his NFL debut sooner than later.
LB Christian Elliss: Elliss joined the Eagles during the 2021 offseason. He appeared in one game last season and totaled three tackles.
CB Mario Goodrich: After a standout season with Clemson, Goodrich signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent this offseason. During his collegiate career, the former Clemson Tiger recorded five interceptions, 21 passes defended, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.
S Anthony Harris: The oldest member of the Eagles practice squad, Harris was a surprise cut during the final cutdown day. The veteran safety started 14 games in Philly last season and led the secondary with 72 tackles. He’ll be the first practice squad member to get called up if the Eagles sustain any injuries at safety.
DE Matt Leo: Leo signed with the Eagles during the 2020 offseason through the NFL International Player Pathway Program. He’s yet to make a regular-season appearance with the team.
QB Reid Sinnett: The 25-year-old signal caller was acquired by the Eagles in 2021 after a stint with the Dolphins. He saw 100 snaps of action during the preseason, throwing for 254 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
TE Noah Togiai: The second-year tight end had an impressive training camp with the Birds this season. He managed to rack up seven receptions for 46 yards through three preseason games.
C Cameron Tom: Tom was acquired by the Eagles during the 2022 offseason after stints with New Orleans and Miami. The fifth-year center appeared in 11 games during the 2018 campaign with the Saints and totaled 178 offensive snaps.
DT Marvin Wilson: Wilson was acquired by the team during the 2021 off-season. He spent the entire 2021 season as a member of the Eagles practice squad, making his lone start in Week 18 against Dallas.
