CJ Gardner-Johnson shreds BGN’s player profile with a flurry of Tweets

If there’s one thing we know for certain about newly acquired Eagles DB CJ Gardner-Johnson, it’s that the man can trash talk with the best of them.
If CGJ doesn’t like what someone is saying about him, he has no issue letting the world know. Unfortunately, our friends over at Bleeding Green Nation are squarely in Gardner-Johnson’s crosshairs at the moment.
The defensive back didn’t take a liking to the website’s recently released player profile on him and he took to Twitter to express his frustration. He’s since deleted his Tweets, but luckily we managed to screenshot them before he hit delete.
Gardner-Johnson’s first response to BGN’s article:

He then went on to screenshot some snippets from BGN’s player profile so he could respond to some of the criticism directly. We weren’t able to get screenshots of those since deleted Tweets, so here’s a quick annotation.
Snippet from BGN: “Can he transition to full-time safety? I’m not so sure.”
Gardner-Johnson’s Tweet: “Remember this now 🤐.”
Snippet from BGN: “He is below average in coverage and can often be tricked by the eyes of an opposing quarterback.”
Gardner-Johnson’s Tweet: “NOTED 📝 🤐.“
To cap of this Twitter tirade, CGJ gave himself a new Twitter header.

It’s important to note that BGN interviewed fellow SB Nation writer Chris Dunnells for their player profile. Dunnells is a contributor for Canal Street Chronicles, SB Nation’s New Orleans Saints website. So, all of the snippets CGJ responded to came from the mouth of a Saints writer, none of the guys over at BGN.
What Dunnells had to say about Gardner-Johnson wasn’t all bad either. He stated that the majority of Saints fans are pretty upset with the trade, citing the emotional connection CGJ made with the New Orleans faithful during his short stint there. He also said numerous times that he believes Gardner-Johnson is one of the best slot corners in the NFL; it’s the transition to safety that Dunnells is a bit unsure of.
Dunnells also shared some fun facts about CGJ that Eagles fans may not be aware of. Apparently Gardner-Johnson’s “Ceedy Duce” nickname is actually the moniker he uses as a rapper. And truth be told, he’s not half-bad considering it’s not his full-time career.
I’ll let you be the judge.
