The Phillie Phanatic attacks Mets, Braves as a threat to Red October in blistering speech last night in Philadelphia

It has been a decade since the Philadelphia Phillies have made the MLB playoffs and last night, the Phillie Phanatic addressed the city of Philadelphia in a passionate speech outside of Independence Hall, which is now being called “Soul of Phillies Nation”.
The Phanatic used his prime-time speech last night in front of the birthplace of America to frame what lies ahead as the Phillies look to break a decade-long playoff drought in October.
“This is where the United States Constitution was written and debated,” the Phanatic said. “This is where we set in motion the most extraordinary signing in Phillies history, when the ex-fascist regime of Matt Klentak brought our savior, Bryce Harper to the city of Philadelphia.”
“But as I stand here tonight, the Hunt for Red October is under assault,” he continued. “We do ourselves no favor to pretend otherwise. So, tonight, I’ve come to this place where it all began, to speak as plainly as I can to Phillies Nation about the threats we face, about the power we have in our hands to meet these threats and about the incredible future that lies in front of us if only we choose it.”
The Hunt for Red October is a reprise from the mid-to-late 2000s, when the Phillies were actually a good baseball team and won a World Series.
The Phanatic continued, talking about the road in front of the Phillies and the other teams currently ahead of the Phillies in the National League East standings.
“METS forces are determined to win a World Series this season, with MAGA talking head Brandon Nimmo leading the charge,” The Phanatic is saying, according to prepared remarks released by the Phillies organization. “Backwards to a National League where there is no path to win except for the Atlanta Braves, no right to the playoffs, no right to a world without annoying trumpets in Queens, no respect for reigning NL MVP Bryce Harper”
“For a long time, we’ve reassured ourselves that a playoff berth in Philadelphia is guaranteed. But it is not,” the Phanatic says. “We have to earn our way back to Red October. We must destroy the decade-long September struggles. Seranthony Dominguez must save games. Nick Castellanos must hit baseballs. Rhys Hoskins must catch fire again.”
The Phillies organization believes that the Phanatic thinks that there is an extremist threat to the team’s playoff hopes. They went on record to say that “Its not stopping. Its continuing.”
“I respect baseball,” the Phanatic said last week. “I don’t respect the Mets or Braves, or honestly, anyone standing in our way at a Red October.”
“You can’t be pro-baseball and pro-Pete Alosno,” the Phanatic said last night to a crowd that consistent of hundreds of thousands of Phillies fans.
The Phillies are currently 73-58 on the season and in third place of the National League East standings. While the NL East may be out of reach, the Fightins do hold a 0.5 game lead over the San Diego Padres for the second NL Wild Card spot.
“The Phillies cannot survive when the fanbase is divided and constantly cries over two-straight losses to the Arizona Diamondbacks, a team they never beat on the road. There are only two outcomes in September: either they win and make the playoffs, or they were cheated,” the Phanatic said. “And that’s where the Phillies are today.”
