Vikings WR Justin Jefferson “way more happy” to be in Minnesota than Philly

The Eagles infamously passed on Justin Jefferson in favor of Jalen Reagor in the 2020 draft.
That choice didn’t turn out so hot for Philadelphia.
Receiving stats since being drafted
Receptions | Yards | Yards/catch | TDs | |
Jalen Reagor | 64 | 695 | 10.9 | 3 |
Justin Jefferson | 196 | 3,016 | 15.4 | 17 |
Jefferson has enjoyed his success in Minnesota and even stated that he’s “way more happy” there than he would’ve been in Philly:
Like many others, Justin Jefferson thought he would be drafted by the Eagles in 2020. It was a shocker when they passed, Jefferson said today, “but I am definitely way more happy to be here than there.”

Perhaps Jefferson wouldn’t have tallied the same numbers in a rush-heavy offense as he does now with the pass-happy Kirk Cousins under center. Eagles GM Howie Roseman has recently admitted his mistake for passing on Jefferson and has since redeemed himself by acquiring AJ Brown last offseason.
The Eagles traded Reagor to Minnesota at the end of August, ironically making him teammates with the player taken just one pick after him.
