Jerry Jones praises Jalen Hurts, Eagles after dominant 24-7 win over the Vikings

It appears that Jerry Jones is already throwing in the towel when his distraught Dallas Cowboys team has to face the Philadelphia Eagles later this season.
Jerry Jones joined 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday morning, a Cowboys radio station, and was asked about the division rivals and had nothing but praise and what seems like a few nerves, for the Eagles and more specifically, Jalen Hurts.
“Well, Hurts has really evolved and is better than when he came out than you might have thought. I was particularly impressed with his passing. I watched every single snap last night. That’s what we’ve got.”- Jerry Jones
Philadelphia Eagles fans hope that Hurts’ performance against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night was a breakout one, as he showed significant signs of progression passing the football and his ability to read opposing defenses pre-snap.
Hurts is the highest graded passer through two games this season (90.8) and has jumped all the way up to the third best MVP odds across all major sports books.
Jerry Jones and the Cowboys lost Dak Prescott for at least four-six weeks but got a big win over the former AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. Cooper Rush will attempt to hold down the fort at QB til Prescott returns, with the Cowboys, Commanders, Rams, and Eagles lined up as their next four opponents.
Keep in mind there hasn’t been a repeat winner of the NFC East since 2004.
More from Jerry Jones on Jalen Hurts
“(Jalen) Hurts is a guy that has always been able to run, very athletic, very strong…and that’s not surprising.. .but it doesn’t surprise me or startle me that we’re playing a Philadelphia team with a quarterback threat. I don’t dream of playing these teams that ultimately don’t have a quarterback that they’ve got a plan to move the ball with.”
“They’ve certainly done that with him. They’re doing a good job up there. And they’re going to be all we can handle.”
