Red October: Where the Phillies stand after getting splitting series with Toronto Blue Jays

The Philadelphia Phillies overcame a 3-0 deficit last night to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-3 in extra innings thanks to a Matt Vierling walk off single.
There are 14 games left in the regular season and the Phillies will begin their final series at Citizens Bank Park against the Atlanta Braves tonight at 7:15PM. After splitting the two games with the Blue Jays, the Phillies are now 81-67 on the season.
At the same time, the Padres have won six straight games, sweeping the Arizona Diamondbacks before taking the first two out of three games against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Phillies now sit in the third and final Wild Card spot in the National League, 2.5 games up on the Milwaukee Brewers, who just lost two of three games to the New York Mets.
Phillies Wild Card Standings

After four at home against Atlanta, the Fightins will end the 2022 MLB regular season on a 10-game road trip with three games against the Chicago Cubs, four against the Washington Nationals, and three games against the Houston Astros.
14 Games Remaining. The Phillies Magic Number is 11.
The Mets and Braves are still in a tight race for the NL East title, with the Braves sitting a game back in second place. Atlanta is still trying to overtake the Mets and win the NL East crown to earn a first round bye in the playoffs.
The Brewers are in Cincinnati for four games. Needless to say, the final home series for the Fightins is going to be a crucial one.
The Hunt for Red October Continues.
