Roster Moves: Phillies reinstate Nick Castellanos from 10-day IL

The Philadelphia Phillies have reinstated OF Nick Castellanos from the 10-day IL, the team announced just moments ago.

As a corresponding move, Donny Sands has been optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley after just six ABs during his time in the majors.

Nick Castellanos went down with an oblique strain on September 2nd. The injury didn’t seem serious at first but ended up keeping Nick out of the lineup for over three weeks. Castellanos led the Phillies in hits before he went down and is hitting .265/.305/.397 on the year with a .702 OPS. He’s crushed 13 HRs and 61 RBIs, with 132 hits and 27 doubles throughout 128 games.
