Roster Moves: Phillies recall Darick Hall from LHV, call up Cristopher Sanchez for today’s doubleheader

The Philadelphia Phillies have recalled slugging lefty Darick Hall from Triple-A Lehigh Valley ahead of today’s doubleheader vs. the Nationals.
As a corresponding move, INF Yairo Munoz has been optioned to Lehigh Valley. Cristopher Sanchez has been added to the roster as the 29th man and will throw in relief today at some point.
After many people calling for Hall to return to the majors, he comes up for a series where the Phils will see at least three right-handed starters. Hall slashed .280/.315/.593 against righties in the majors this season, good for a .908 OPS and 9 HRs.
Hall tore up Triple-A this season, finishing 101 games with a .528 slugging percentage. Darick came awfully close to Rhys Hoskins’ single-season LHV HR record, crushing 28 HRs and 88 RBIs this season for the Iron Pigs.
Up Next for the Phillies
The Phils take the field today with a real chance to boost their playoff chances, even after being swept by the Cubs yesterday. If the Phillies win both games today, the magic number drops to four, and if the Brewers lose on top of that, it drops all the way to three.
