Roster Moves: Eagles sign returner to 53-man roster, elevate safety from practice squad

The Eagles made two roster moves ahead of Sunday’s game vs. Jacksonville.
The team signed Britain Covey to the 53-man roster and elevated Andre Chachere from the practice squad.

Covey was ineligible to be called up as he was elevated in each of the first three games to start the year. He fills the final roster spot and will continue as the primary punt returner.
Chachere will serve as safety depth with CJ Gardner-Johnson likely assuming nickel duties in the absence of Avonte Maddox. The five-year vet played in 76% of the special teams snaps for Philadelphia last season.
