Haason Reddick takes home the NFC Defensive Player of the Week award after his dominant performance against Jacksonville

For the third straight week, an Eagles defender has won the NFC Defensive Player of the Week award. This time around, it’s LB Haason Reddick taking the crown, as the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 4.

After a slow start to the year, the Camden native had his coming out party this past weekend against Jacksonville. The former Temple Owl racked up four tackles, two sacks, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

Reddick’s second sack-fumble of the game essentially sealed the victory for Philadelphia.

Per Pro Football Focus, the Eagles edge rusher was the highest graded pass rusher in Week 4, posting a 93.5 defensive grade and a pass rushing grade of 94.1. Those are Reddick’s best single-game marks since Week 14 of the 2020 season.

On the year, the linebacker has tallied 12 combined tackles, two tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks. His three forced fumbles lead the NFL. The 28-year-old linebacker is on pace for approximately 14 sacks and 48 total tackles in 2022.
