WATCH: Phillies win NLWCS, social media reacts to the first triumph of Red October

The Phillies punched their ticket to the National League Divison Series after a clutch 2-0 victory on Saturday night, sweeping the Cardinals in two games.
Phillies Secure the Final Out
Just like last Monday in Houston, Phillies fans around the country are going nuts. The Liberty Line crew is out here in Scottsdale, Arizona with Phans of Philly, and it was an absolute scene when Edmundo Sosa and the Fightins secured the final out.

It’s not just fans going nuts. Rob Thomson gave another speech after tonight’s heroic win, and the party started just seconds following his last words.
Darick Hall, who isn’t even on the 26-man playoff roster, might’ve been having the most fun out of everyone. Hall had backup catcher Garrett Stubbs on top of his shoulders, and the two were having the time of their lives.
The celebrations never get old, but the play of each individual player on the Phillies is the highlight of tonight. Key contributions from Aaron Nola, Alec Bohm, Seranthony Dominguez, Bryce Harper, and Zach Eflin led the team to victory, and JT Realmuto couldn’t have said it any better just moments after the win.
“No One’s Excited to Play the Phillies Right Now” – JT Realmuto
Alec Bohm has had one of the best turnarounds I’ve ever seen, going from a defensive-liability to one of the most clutch players on the team. He talked with Taryn Hatcher immediately following the win and called out all of his haters.
There’s TRULY no place like Bohm.
Taryn Hatcher was absolutely soaked in the locker room following the win, and Alec Bohm lurking in the background of this video is just absolutely perfect.
Bryce Harper aka Pandering Expert
In case anyone forgot, the Eagles play a football game tomorrow. Bryce Harper made sure Philadelphia didn’t forget that, even after one of the biggest nights of his career.
The Continuation of Red October
The Phillies will head home for a few days before traveling down to Atlanta to vs. the Braves. Ranger Suarez will throw Game 1 on Tuesday, followed by Zack Wheeler in Game 2 on full rest. Phillies ace Aaron Nola will throw the first playoff game at Citizens Bank Park since 2011 on Friday night.
