Thursday Night Football Betting Preview: Bears vs Commanders
Two of the NFC’s worst teams will be getting a chance to turn their seasons around in this week’s edition of Thursday Night Football as the Chicago Bears (2-3) will be hosting the Washington Commanders (1-4).
The Bears are coming off back-to-back losses and are in third place in the NFC North. Last weekend Chicago fell to the Minnesota Vikings 29-22. Meanwhile, the Commanders fell to 1-4 after losing to the Tennessee Titans.

PointsBet isn’t exactly dishing out free bets but that does’nt mean you shouldn’t have an account. My favorite sports book is offering second chance bets totaling $2000 for this week’s Thursday Night Football matchup between the Bears and Commanders.
Carson Wentz Undefeated on TNF
Carson Wentz is a perfect 6-0 on Thursday Night Football, the best winning percentage of any quarterback with at least five TNF starts since 2000. Tom Brady is second overall with a 12-2 record. Believe it or not, Wentz is 16-8 in his career in primetime games.
- Carson Wentz Over 220.5 Passing Yards (-114)
- Carson Wentz Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+172)
Anytime Touchdown Scorers
- Darnell Mooney (+320)
- David Montgomery (+130)
- Justin Fields (+210)
- Brian Robinson (+220)
- Curtis Samuel (+240)
- Terry McLaurin (+240)
There’s a reason this game is being labeled as a “toss-up.” It features the lowest point total in all of Week 6. Both offenses have proven to be the least trustworthy units in 2022, ranking outside the Top 20 teams in points per game, giveaways, and yards per play.
With all of this said, I would bet on the Bears to win this game and give Carson his first loss on Thursday Night Football in his career. I am heavily leaning on the Bears -1 and the under 37.5 (-105).
