NLCS Game 2: Phillies, Aaron Nola look to take 2-0 series lead back to Philadelphia against Blake Snell and the Padres

While the city of San Diego is still on high alert waiting for Kyle Schwarber’s home run ball to land, the Philadelphia Phillies are preparing for Game 2 of the NLCS against the Padres.
The first task is complete. Last night, the Phillies relied on yet another Zack Wheeler masterclass and a pair of home runs courtesy of Bryce Harper and Schwarber to go up 1-0 in the NLCS. Later this afternoon, the Fightins will send Aaron Nola to the mound in search of a commanding 2-0 lead in the series with Game 3 at Citizens Bank Park on Friday night.
Nola faced the Padres once this season back on June 24th and was charged with a loss. However, the Phillies second ace tossed seven beautiful innings, giving up one run on seven hits while striking out 10 Padres batters. During the postseason, Nola is a squeaky clean 2-0 with an ERA of 0.00. He has 12 strikeouts and has yet to allow a run.
Needless to say, I like the Phillies chances today.
Opposing Nola, will be Padres pitcher Blake Snell. On the year, Snell went 8-10 with a 3.38 ERA. Against the Phillies this season, Snell got SHELLED twice, going 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA and nine strikeouts.

I will say this right now. The Philadelphia Phillies being underdogs in this game is the most disrespectful line I have ever seen in my life. Blake Snell is hittable. Aaron Nola is un-hittable.
Phillies are going to win this game. Ring it.
