Eagles currently double-digit favorites in Week 8 matchup vs. Pittsburgh

The Philadelphia Eagles remain the lone undefeated team in the NFL heading into Week 8. Fresh off their bye-week, they will be hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers at Lincoln Financial Field in a battle of Pennsylvania.
According to our friends over at DraftKings Sportsbook, the Eagles (-10.5) are 11-point favorites this Sunday.

The Steelers are 2-5 through seven games and rank dead last among NFL teams in point differential (-55), which explains this large point spread. The Eagles are second in point differential (+9.3), trailing only the Buffalo Bills (+15.8).
The Steelers’ two wins this season were both at home; a Week 1 upset against Cincinatti and a two-point victory over the Bucs, which doesn’t seem as impressive considering Tampa just got blown out by the lowly Carolina Panthers.
Kenny Picket in Hostile Territory
Steelers rookie QB Kenny Pickett is having a rough start to his career thus far, throwing only two touchdowns to his seven interceptions on the season. In addition, Pickett threw three picks on Sunday Night Football against the Miami Dolphins in a six-point loss. This could be a recipe for disaster for the Steelers as the Eagles are the best in the NFL in takeaways (+12).
This Eagles’ defense has a special knack for forcing turnovers, whether picking off Cooper Rush three times or forcing Trevor Lawrence into four fumbles. Not to mention that the Philly crowd will be on fire with the Phillies being in the World Series.
While the Eagles are 30th in the NFL in second-half scoring, I think they cover the spread this week; the Steelers aren’t much better at scoring after halftime. Both teams score just under six points per game in the second half. Coming off the bye, the high-powered Eagles offense should be fired up to correct that lingering issue.
