From the bottom of my heart, I hope that Mattress Mack loses his $10 million bet on the Houston Astros to win the World Series

The stage is finally set for the 2022 World Series. The Philadelphia Phillies will travel to Houston to face the Astros in Game 1 and Game 2 on Friday and Saturday, before returning home on Monday for three games at Citizens Bank Park.
We’ll have plenty of time to dive into a full betting preview on this year’s fall Classic, but for now, let’s just focus on this guy Mattress Mack, who reportedly bet $10 million that the Houston Astros would win the World Series earlier this month.
To be clear, betting that the Astros would win the World Series “earlier this month” is not impressive at all. I wanted to make sure that we’re on the same page with that.
The amount? Sure, this guy is mega-rich and can place $10 million bets. Whatever.
Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale owns Gallery Furniture in Houston. The payout of his $10 million bet stands to earn an estimated $75 million payout, which would be one of the largest payouts in sports betting history.
Mattress Mack $10 Million to Win $75 Million
He’s no stranger in placing large bets. Last April, Mattress Mack bet $5.5 million that the Kansas Jayhawks would win the 2022 NCAA men’s basketball tournament, which they did, defeating North Carolina. That won Mattress Mack over an estimated $11 million.
Listen, I have a hard time wishing anyone loses a bet but unfortunately, that won’t be the case when it comes to Mattress Mack. Obviously, I’m rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies to beat the Houston Astros, and I definitely believe they will do just that.
Also, I really don’t think anything Mattress Mack does is all that impressive. Again, he took the World Series favorite at the beginning of October to win it all.
That doesn’t even consider his HORRIBLE betting record. Thanks to Twitter – here’s how bad Mattress Mack is at betting. Look at this. LOL.

Perfect. That’s great news for the city of Philadelphia. Old Mack is rarely right. Hopefully this bet finally puts him out of the gambling game once and for all.
Instead, maybe Mattress Mack should have some balls and toss in a bet like this one below.

He puts promotions at his store, if the team he bets on wins customers will get their money back, so theses bets are hedges against that possible business loss
You might want to do a little research on a person before you belittle them. This man manufactured his empire from the ground up and does ridiculous things for Houston, veterans, storm victims, and the community as a whole. He is as beloved as JJ Watt for the things he’s done in Houston. I won’t bother to research you either before I make this statement because it’s pretty obvious it wouldn’t matter… You wouldn’t make a pimple on this man’s ass.
