JT Realmuto wins 2nd-career Gold Glove

Full List of Gold Glove Winners
JT Realmuto had one of the best post-all-star runs I’ve seen. He struggled to start his season but had his best month of the season in July, slashing .358/.423/.642 in 67 ABs with 24 hits, 5 HRs, and 17 RBIs. Realmuto finished the year .276/.342/.478 with 22 HRs and 84 RBIs.
Defense wins you the gold glove award, and JT Realmuto is called the “Best Catcher in Baseball” for that reason. Realmuto finished the regular season with a .993 fielding percentage behind the plate and caught runners stealing at a rate of 44%. The 9-time All-Star caught 1,131 innings this year, a career-high.
Why do people still run on JT Realmuto?
Realmuto has been a big piece for the Phillies in the playoffs, most notably standing out for his clutch 10th-inning home run that gave the Phillies the lead in Game 1 of the World Series. Game 3 kicks off in just over two hours.
