The Bounce Back: Embiid, 76ers dominate the Atlanta Hawks at home 121-109

The Philadelphia 76ers returned home last night looking for revenge on the Hawks, who beat them on Thursday night in Atlanta, and walked away with a dominant 121-109 win.
Joel Embiid had a massive night, scoring 42 points to go along with 10 rebounds, six assists, two steals, and two blocks.

Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey
- Tyrese Maxey: 9-16 FG, 26 PTS, 9 AST
- Tobias Harris: 7-13 FG, 21 PTS, 6 REB
Unlike Thursday night in Atlanta, the Sixers offense came alive outside of Joel Embiid, with Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey both having strong nights after struggling the game before. Maxey entered last night on a brutal stretch of shooting over the previous three games, going 19-for-64, and 6-for-23 from beyond the arc but was able to return to form, shooting 9-for-16 from the floor, scoring 26 points to go along with nine assists on the night. Tobias Harris went 7-13 from the floor, scoring 21 points and adding six rebounds to the stat sheet.

76ers Bench Impact
Shake Milton had a strong performance off the bench for the Sixers last night, scoring 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting. Furkan Korkmaz scored seven points in three minutes before leaving the game early with an undisclosed injury.
Joel Embiid Injury Update
After the game, Embiid spoke with the media about his performance and revealed that he’s battling a shoulder injury that apparently limits him from even lifting his arm up some days.
“I don’t know what happened, but some days, I can’t lift my arm up,” said Embiid. “When I go block shots, I really feel it. I don’t know what’s going on, but it’s whatever.”
Clearly, that didn’t slow Embiid down last night. He was 14-for-25 from the floor and knocked down 13-of-16 free throws from the charity stripe. Embiid was also dealing with an ankle injury last night after falling in the second quarter.
The 76ers are back in action on the second night of a back-to-back at home against the Utah Jazz and all things considered, Embiid plans on playing.
Bad Beat
I was one Tobias Harris three pointer away from cashing this +891 parlay. Thoughts and prayers please.
