Bryce Harper received Tommy John Surgery, possible timetable for return announced

Bryce Harper received Tommy John Surgery today and it went “very well,” according to Jim Salisbury.
Bryce Harper Had Tommy John Surgery
Last week’s report stated that Harper was going to need some sort of UCL surgery, with the type unknown. Now, we know that Harper got Tommy John, and he could be back to game form by mid-May.
Bryce Harper suffered an elbow injury early in the year, which is the reason that he was the DH for the rest of the 2022 season. Moving to the DH spot didn’t affect Harper’s bat, as he still slashed .286/.364/.514 on the year.

Harper had one of the best postseasons runs baseball has ever seen, hitting .349 in 17 playoff games, racking up an OBP of .414 and a .746 slugging percentage. He hit 6 HRs, 13 RBIs, 22 hits, scored 12 runs, and logged seven doubles in that time.
It’s great to see Harper getting the surgery he needs. Get his arm back to where it needs to be, and he’ll join us next season when he’s ready.
