Postseason Outlook: Eagles can clinch a playoff spot as early as Week 13

At 10-1, the Philadelphia Eagles remain the top seed in the NFC playoff picture with six games to play.
The top priority for this team is clinching the number one seed and ensuring the road to the Super Bowl goes through Philly. With the Vikings, 49ers, and Cowboys nipping at their heels, it’ll take a few more wins for the Eagles to clinch that top spot. But, the team can clinch a spot in the dance as early as next week if these scenarios come to fruition on Sunday:
How the Eagles can clinch a playoff spot in Week 13:
- Eagles beat Titans
- Giants beat Commanders
- Rams beat Seahawks
- Dolphins beat 49ers

Seeing each of these games play out accordingly is not out of the realm of possibilities.
Tennessee will be coming off a loss to Cincinnati and will have to travel to Philadelphia for their matchup with the Birds. The Eagles haven’t lost a 1 PM home game since Week 4 of last season to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Washington has been on a tear recently, winning five out of their last six contests. After starting 6-1, the Giants have come back down to Earth in recent weeks, posting a 1-4 record over their last five games. We hate rooting for New York, but it’s in our best interest to do so this upcoming weekend.
The Dolphins-49ers game is a toss up. Either team could walk away victorious and the outcome will probably be determined by a handful of plays late in the game.
Then we have the Rams upsetting Seattle, which may be the most unlikely scenario entering Week 13. Los Angeles has evidently hit rock bottom and there doesn’t seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel. Injuries have absolutely dismantled Sean McVay’s squad and the Seahawks will be looking for a bounce back performance after dropping a heartbreaking overtime loss to Las Vegas this past Sunday.
Nevertheless, the fact that the Eagles are already in position to clinch a playoff spot with six games remaining is a luxury. Even if they are unable to do it this weekend, they’ll control their own destiny the rest of the way, which is all you can ask for at the NFL level.
