Steve Cohen, New York Mets sign Carlos Correa in the middle of the night, stealing him from the San Francisco Giants

Under the cover of darkness, the New York Mets swooped in and stole Carlos Correa from the San Francisco Giants.
Carlos Correa has now signed a 12-year, $315M contract with the New York Mets.
According to reports, the Giants camp had a “difference of opinion on the medical” and agent Scott Boras worked out a deal with Steve Cohen to get Correa out of San Francisco and on a flight to New York.
Now, Correa will play third base for the Mets with the deal pending him passing a physical.
Pretty insane that this actually happened. There were reports yesterday that the Giants postponed their press conference for signing Carlos Correa which sparked a bunch of tweets joking about him leaving and going elsewhere. I don’t think anyone thought it was actually going to happen though.
Unfortunately for the New York Mets, they are still in fact, the New York Mets. Spend all the money you want Mr. Cohen. The Philadelphia Phillies are still better and are the reigning National League Champions.
