Phillies agree to one-year deal with veteran reliever

The Phillies and Craig Kimbrel are in agreement on a one-year deal worth $10M.

Kimbrel, 34, is a 13-year veteran who’s played for six teams, including the division-rival Atlanta Braves. He’s an 8x All-Star, along with a World Series Champion (2018), and won Rookie of the Year in 2010.
Craig Kimbrel is coming off a good year with the Los Angeles Dodgers, tallying a 3.75 ERA in 63 appearances. Kimbrel holds a career ERA of 2.35, with 394 career saves.
The Phils now have a lethal back-end to their rotation, with a trio of Seranthony Dominguez, Jose Alvarado, and Craig Kimbrel. Kimbrel now reunited with Dave Dombrowski, as the two were together from 2016-2018.
