Sixers proposal went viral Friday night, with the guy getting absolutely roasted on social media

On Friday night, a Sixers dancer was proposed to at the Wells Fargo Center and it was caught on video, immediately going viral.
Let me introduce you to Chris Girard, the lucky guy who got down on one knee to propose to the woman of his dreams, getting a yes and a huge hug and kiss in the process.
You’d think this would be a beautiful love story but instead, the internet did what the internet so often does, and completely roasted Chris saying that he was way out of his league, while questioning if the video was actually real.

Side Note: It’s absolutely hilarious that the majority of the comments trying to ruin Chris’s special night are probably a bunch of dorks sitting at home in their parents basement.
As for our guy Chris, he played the entire situation to perfection on the court with the proposal, then off the court when he logged onto Twitter to read the replies under his now viral moment.
True love does exist. Look how happy these two love birds are and hell, they got to do it while the 76ers were winning their seventh straight game (eight now after today’s win vs Knicks).
Honestly, people should be happy people like Chris Girard exist. Like Jason Sudeikis putting a ring on Olivia Wilde, Chris serves as yet another example that the common man can rely on being a good dude with great personality and killer sense of humor in order to marry the woman of their dreams, who also just might be out of our league.
Cheers to Chris and his new fiancé. I’m sure they had a blast over the holiday weekend and are already busy planning for their wedding.
