It’s a new day, which means Nick Sirianni has found another way to praise Eagles QB Jalen Hurts.
During today’s media session, Nick Sirianni met with the media and was asked many questions about Hurts’ status, how fast his body can heal, and if he’ll be ready for Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints.

When asked about Hurts’ body, Nick Sirianni put one specific reporter on the spot, saying Jalen could “whoop him in anything,” and his body “heals way faster than his.”
Nick Sirianni: Jalen Hurts can beat anyone in anything
Originally tweeted by Philadelphia Eagles (@Eagles) on December 28, 2022.
“If you and him (Jalen) went out and shot baskets together, he’d whoop ya. If you guys went out and you guys raced against each other, he’d whoop ya. If you guys went out and tried to throw a football and see who can throw it more accurately or further, he’d whoop ya…so his body heals faster than yours.”
Anyone that’s been an Eagles fan for at least two years or has followed Jalen Hurts in college knows how much of an athlete and freak of nature the 24-year-old is. He’s shown his athleticism all over the field over the last two years, rushing for 10+ TDs in his first two seasons as a starting QB, becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to do that. Heck, the guy squatted 600 pounds in college.
The status of Hurts is still unknown, but the team is confident in Gardner Minshew to go out and get a win on Sunday vs. a 6-8 Saints team. It seems like Hurts is going to be a Friday decision once again, but don’t count him out just yet. If Hurts is able to play, he’s going to do what he can to be out on the field helping the Eagles clinch home field.
