Embiid drops 42 points as the Sixers get revenge on the Pelicans, 120-111 final

The Philadelphia 76ers beat the New Orleans Pelicans last night in South Philly 120-111, starting 2023 off on the right foot.
Joel Embiid led the way with yet another dominant performance scoring 42 points with 11 rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block.Â

It was Embiid’s eighth game this season with at least 35 points and 10 rebounds and as always, the Wells Fargo Center praised The Process throughout the night with MVP Chants echoing throughout the arena.
James Harden dropped 27 points in the win, as the Sixers improved to 22-14 on the season, remaining in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

For the Pelicans, Zion Williamson scored 26 points on 10-of-12 shooting through three quarters of action before injuring his hamstring and exiting the game late in the 3rd quarter.
The 76ers are back in action tomorrow night when they host the Indiana Pacers.Â
