Disgusting Behavior: Sixers fans on Twitter gush over Isaiah Joe following 21-point performance in OKC win over the Celtics

There are just some nights on Twitter that drive me absolutely insane and nothing made me pull my hair out more than watching Sixers fans cry all over the timeline about Isaiah Joe last night.
Before the start of the 2022-23 season, the Sixers made the decision to waive third-year guard Isaiah Joe to get their roster down to the required opening day minimum.
Joe, branded as a 3-and-D player out of college, never really had the opportunity to be productive in Philadelphia, which as we all know, has been a basketball franchise that is considered a championship contender over the last 4-5 years. He then landed on the Oklahoma City roster, who unlike the Sixers, are a team that is in full rebuild mode. That means, players like Isaiah Joe will get an increase in playing time and be given a better opportunity to develop at the NBA level.
Which brings us to last night, where the Thunder hosted the defending Eastern Conference Champion Boston Celtics and absolutely destroyed them, winning 150-117. Joe, coming off the bench on a Thunder team that was even playing without star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, scored 21 points, shooting 8-for-13 from the floor and 3-for-7 from three point range with four rebounds and four assists.
TO BE ABUNDANTLY CLEAR:
THIS IS NOT A KNOCK ON ISAIAH JOE. IT’S A KNOCK ON YOU, “SIXERS TWITTER”
Isaiah Joe has appeared in 30 games for OKC this season and is averaging just seven points while shooting 48 percent from the floor and 45 percent from beyond the arc on just four attempts per game.
He has scored over 15 points just four times this season and has eclipsed the double-digit point threshold just seven times over 30 games while averaging roughly two minutes more of playing time than he did with the 76ers last season (12.8 MPG vs 11.1 MPG).
Look, I totally get it. Doc Rivers refuses to play young talent at the NBA level. That’s clear as day and we have countless examples to be mad about over the last few seasons. But can we not pretend that Isaiah Joe or really, any player of his caliber deserved any type of real minutes on a Philadelphia 76ers team that’s expected to be competing for an NBA Title each season?
That’s just not how it works and it reeks of “Process Hangover” takes that for whatever reason, Twitter just can’t seem to get over.
When you have players that can’t make the opening roster and are shipped to a rebuilding franchise, they will always find success. We watched it for years in Philadelphia with players that are no longer in the league but found success on a tanking Sixers team.
I’m not even saying Isiah Joe will suffer the same fate as like Isaiah Canaan or Tony Wroten. Maybe he will be more of a TJ McConnell, Jerami Grant, Richaun Holmes, or Robert Covington. Honestly, I hope he does.
Regardless, the crybaby antics whenever a former Sixers player that was never even a contributor during his time here is annoying and needs to stop. The Sixers fanbase sounds like a bunch of jealous ex-girlfriends. Truly disgusting.
End of rant.
I’m sure everyone is going to be mad and say that I shouldn’t make fun of you like I did for the Phillies fans who were crying over the Phillies Yearbook video when we didn’t even win the World Series but I definitely didn’t start my own business and website to not write about things that I find repulsive so that’s why this is going up.
I’m sorry, but not like actually sorry.
