Dietz & Watson debut Bird Dogs with green buns for the Eagles playoffs

Dietz & Watson has released the Bird Dog, a green bun hot dog that will be available at various locations in Philadelphia throughout the Eagles playoffs.
Dietz & Watson: Bird Dogs
Let’s just hope this doesn’t come back to bite the Philadelphia Eagles in the ass. Jalen Hurts should be the NFL MVP and we just wrapped up a 14-3 season heading into a bye on Wild Card Weekend. I’m not sure we need “gimmick-glizzys” running into battle with us for the rest of January and ideally, early February.
In no way am I insulting an incredible Philadelphia institution like Dietz & Watson but there’s no shot I would eat one of these green bun hot dogs, much like I wouldn’t drink a red or blue beer during the Phillies and Sixers playoffs at McGillins.
Just not my thing. We have football games to win and real beer and food to drink. I think that’s fair, right? I’m really not sure if it’s the hot dog bun being green or this disgusting human marketing them? I have never been a fan of the face paint. For whatever reason it grosses me out and when you pair it with a green hot dog, that’s just a double no for me unfortunately.
I do however, like the hat and the Bird Dog logo that Dietz & Watson have going. I would have probably just stuck with the regular dog and used that logo on branding and packaging.
That isn’t to say I wouldn’t try one if someone came across F2 during the first round of the playoffs. I’ll be there, likely intoxicated and on top of an RV that looks like a total death trap.
Okay, maybe I’ll be more specific. A black RV that looks like a total death trap. That will at least narrow it down slightly in case anyone’s coming with Bird Dogs.
Anyways, I’m not going to totally rip the Bird Dogs. As long as everyone in Philly is locked in to go on a Super Bowl run, you could eat whatever you want. Hell, we had the kids eating Horse Shit after the Super Bowl, so it literally can’t get any worse than that.
The playoffs are here. It’s go time. Green Bird Dogs or not.
Go Birds.
