The (12-27-5) Anaheim Ducks come to South Philly to take on Sam Ersson and the (18-19-7) Philadelphia Flyers.
The Flyers are coming off an embarrassing 6-0 route against the Bruins last night, where they unsurprisingly looked completely overmatched the entire game. We’ll see if they can rebound tonight at 7:00 pm on NBCSP.

The Flyers beat the Ducks 4-1 on January 2nd (4-1), so perhaps tonight could be a perfect little bounce-back game for the boys.
Sam Ersson, after taking over for Hart last night in Boston, will get the start in goal. Ersson is 4-0-0 on the season with a 2.44 GAA and a .917 SV%. The Ducks are currently the 3rd worst team in the league so it would be sweet to see Ersson go 5-0-0 to start his career.

Flyers Special teams are SO bad
The 30th ranked PK (Ducks) vs the 31st ranked PP (PHI) will clash tonight. It’ll be fun to see which team can disappoint their fanbase first. My bet is it’ll be Anaheim. I had them as my surprise playoff team this year and I couldn’t have been more wrong. They suck. Nothing else to say.
The Flyers pot multiple power play goals tonight.
The Flyers are bad too, but they’re not Anaheim bad. I do expect them to win this game tonight but who knows, maybe Trevor Zegras will channel his inner Datsyuk and score on the “Michigan” twice and wave to Torts on the bench.
Cam York
York only has 4A in his last 10 games and I think tonight is going to be a night where he gets on the scoreboard multiple times. Whether it’s a 2-goal game or 2 assists, I think he’s in line for a good night. Maybe there’s a little extra motivation because it’s his childhood team? Will be keeping my eye on Cam York.

The Ducks are 6-12-3 in their last 21 games so I’m not afraid of them per say… but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t be surprised if they beat the Flyers 6-1. Nothing about this team can surprise me at this point. Losing to the Ducks wouldn’t even be in the Top 10 for me.
With all that being said, the Ducks are BAD so…yeah, I expect the Flyers to pull this one out.
