Joel Embiid continues hot streak vs. Blazers, helps 76ers remain undefeated on West Coast road trip

The Philadelphia 76ers won their fourth straight game on the road last night in Portland, beating the Trail Blazers 105-95.
Don’t look now, but the Sixers have won 17 of their last 21 games and have moved into a tie for second place in the Eastern Conference with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Joel Embiid continued his hot streak, dropping 32 points with nine rebounds and three blocks against the Blazers last night. Embiid has scored 30+ points in seven straight games and still hasn’t scored less than that mark in 2023. His late circus shot with 2:10 remaining put his team up 11 and sealed the game for the 76ers.

James Harden put up his fourth triple-double of the season with 16 points, 14 assists, and 10 rebounds in the win, while Tyrese Maxey came off the bench and scored 15 points, shooting 7-for-12 from the floor in 29 minutes.
Tobias Harris (11) and Shake Milton (10) were the only other Sixers to score in double digits on the night, with Georges Niang knocking down three shots from beyond the arc to finish with nine points.
Damian Lillard scored 25 points on 6-for-21 shooting with 11 assists. Jerami Grant added 24 points for the Blazers, but as a team they only shot 37.6% from the floor and 24.3 percent from three-point range.
A win tomorrow night in Sacramento would cap off a 5-0 road trip for the Sixers. They are 8-2 over their last 10 games and 4.5 games out of first place in the East, tied with the Bucks in second.
