Vox Media axes majority of their SB Nation Hockey and Soccer content, Broad Street Hockey is no more

Broad Street Hockey, the “Philadelphia Flyers” blog brought to you by SB Nation and Vox Media is no more.
SB Nation kills NHL and Soccer Websites
For those unfamiliar, Vox Media owns SB Nation, who has a bunch of “city blogs” covering all major sports teams. Here in Philadelphia, they operated under Bleeding Green Nation, Liberty Ballers, The Good Fight, Brotherly Game, and Broad Street Hockey.
Along with the majority of the SB Nation NHL wing, it appears that SB Nation soccer is also getting the axe.
Look, obviously it sucks that people lost their jobs. On a personal level I really do feel for them and I hope they find a new position somewhere else as quickly as possible. Time’s are tough out there. You never want to see someone left out on the street.
That’s where my sympathy ends.
Much like our friends over at Crossing Broad, I have zero remorse for SB Nation. Sorry. (not really)
Ever since The Liberty Line launched almost three years ago, any person at SB Nation related websites (outside of a few good folks over at Bleeding Green Nation) have done nothing but try to tear down what we are building here, while blocking, subtweeting, and creating troll accounts to insult people at TLL.
No one at SB Nation will ever be welcome at The Liberty Line.
As I mentioned above, they have always looked down upon us, offered us zero help or recognition as we grew The Liberty Line into the machine that it is today, and at times, have personally attacked myself and others that work hard at TLL on Twitter.
SB Nation is in complete disarray. From a raw business standpoint, if a corporation cuts its 7% of its staff and axes two major sports and all related content and websites, then clearly they were nothing but a money burn pit to begin with.
And if you take some time to check out their former employees on Twitter right now, it will start to make perfect sense.
