Joel Embiid and James Harden ranked 2nd among the best offensive duos in the NBA this season

The Philadelphia 76ers officially have one of the best offensive duos in the NBA this season.
Philly just completed a five-game sweep of their West Coast trip and are winners of 18 out of their last 22 games. Their recent hot streak as catapulted them to the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference Standings, just 4.5 games out of the first place Boston Celtics.
Needless to say if you have been watching the Sixers play basketball, but the Harden-Embiid connection has been elite.
Honestly, this should have happened sooner than it did. Why it took Doc Rivers so long to figure out that a James Harden – Joel Embiid pick-and-roll is almost unstoppable is beyond me, but we have finally arrived and the results are certainly paying off for the Sixers.

According to PBP Stats, Harden and Embiid have an offensive rating of 122.86, which would be the best number in the NBA. However, the Bball Index currently has the Sixers’ duo as the second best behind the Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.

Boom, baby. The NBA also released an updated version of their Power Rankings today and the Philadelphia 76ers are in third place behind the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets.Â
Embiid, who hasn’t played since Portland last week, also reclaimed the NBA’s scoring title, basically tied with Luka Doncic at 33.6 points per game.Â
The Sixers will be back in action on Wednesday night, as they welcome the Brooklyn Nets and Ben Simmons to The Well. It looks like we may finally see Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons play basketball against each other. Following the Nets, the Sixers will host Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets on Saturday in South Philly, before heading to New York on Sunday to play the Knicks in the Garden.
