Kevin Durant replied to Embiid’s ‘Suck It’ on Twitter only to delete it shortly after

This morning Kevin Durant responded to Joel Embiid’s quote tweet last night, where Embiid told him to “suck it” after Durant criticized his Degeneration X celebration in the third quarter of the Sixers 137-133 win over the Nets in South Philly.

Maybe Durant didn’t have his morning coffee yet but honestly, I’m pretty disappointed in his failed attempt at a reply to Embiid. Typically, Durant is a pretty solid Twitter follow, but questioning Embiid’s celebration was a pretty weak response. I guess he realized that as well, which could explain why he deleted it.

Needless to say, last night was quite the show, with words exchanged and stares between Embiid and Simmons throughout the contest. You could definitely feel the energy bleed over to the rest of each team, with six technical fouls called during the game.

The Nets have now lost five of their last seven games without Kevin Durant. KD, out with a right MCL sprain remained active on Twitter throughout the night, commenting on the trash talk during the game.
As for the Sixers, they just won their seventh straight game and will host Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets on Saturday.
