After all of the bullshit we had to endure leading up to the NFC Championship Game with the media and 49ers players stating that the Eagles’ defense “only looks good on paper,” to having your defensive coordinator telling people stuck in traffic that he is going to “fucking gut” the 49ers, only to follow it up by knocking two quarterbacks out of the game in a blowout victory.

What a ride. That’s the type of “Dark Energy” that Philadelphia thrives on. You see it in the tailgating lots before football games, inside the stadium, and then in the streets after a playoff win. 

I’m happy it was Jonathan Gannon delivering the quote about the Eagles’ Super Bowl run. Often criticized, Gannon has been solid, and his unit completely obliterated the Giants and 49ers. If this is the type of energy and aggression we can expect in Arizona, then lock in your bets now because we’ll be back on Broad Street celebrating a Super Bowl victory in no time.
