76ers sign free agent center Dewayne Dedmon off waivers

The Philadelphia 76ers have filled their open roster spot by adding a 7-foot center behind Joel Embiid.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, The Sixers signed Dewayne Dedmon to a contract for the rest of the season.
Dedmon, who played 11 games with the 76ers during the 2013-14 season, spent the last three seasons with the Miami Heat before being dealt at the trade deadline to the San Antonio Spurs, who then waived him, making the 33-year-old veteran available in the buyout market.
In 11.7 minutes per game this season, Dedmon averaged 5.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 0.5 blocks per game with the Heat.
As for the 76ers, they currently sit in third place in the Eastern Conference Standings, four games behind the Boston Celtics. They are 7-3 over their last ten games and have won two straight. They will host the Houston Rockets tonight in South Philadelphia.
