Phillies News: Starting pitchers announced for both split-squad games on Saturday

The Phillies play two baseball games on Saturday.
The Fightins kick off their Grapefruit League schedule on Saturday, February 25th, with a home game against the New York Yankees at Baycare Ballpark, along with an away game in Lakeland, FL, against the Detroit Tigers.
Michael Plassmeyer will start Saturday’s away game vs. the Tigers, while bullpen arm Nick Nelson will take the hill for the Phillies at Baycare Ballpark vs. the Yankees.
Rob Thomson said the majority of the pitching this Saturday will come from the younger players.
Thomson has not yet specified who will come out of the bullpen, but we could get our first look at Andrew Painter, Griff McGarry, and Mick Abel facing off against some major league bats on the other team.
Painter threw his first live batting practice earlier today, facing off against Brandon Marsh and Kyle Schwarber. Painter got Marsh to ground out to the right side in the first at-bat, and it seemed like he struck out Schwarber on his first AB as well.
Kyle Schwarber got the best of Andrew Painter in the second AB. Welcome to the big leagues, Andrew.
