The Philadelphia Flyers should stop talking

Since completely botching the trade deadline, the Flyers have taken it upon themselves to belittle fans at every chance available.
It started with Steve Coates telling season ticket holders they can’t voice their opinion, Joel Farabee blocking anyone who mentions his name, and the latest in Tony DeAngelo arguing with fans on Instagram.

It’s a bold move from a team that can’t even beat the Blackhawks at home. I understand the notion of defending your team publicly especially after they’ve been torched, but now is not that time. I’d advise everyone in that organization to respectfully shut their mouths.

This fanbase, at the very least, has earned the right to voice their opinion. The Flyers are lucky people even care enough to show up to a season ticket holder meeting with how irrelevant they’ve been. The reason Tony DeAngelo and John Tortorella both defended Chuck Fletcher is because he gave them a contract about 7-8 months ago.
You weren’t here for the 10+ years of mediocrity, the false promises, and poorly timed trades. If anything, I think fans have been relatively patient as it took this long to reach a complete breaking point. It’s a bad look for them to have an attitude of “ugh, the fans” as if they aren’t lucky we still care enough to complain.

I love how DeAngelo makes this trade sound like a NHL 23 fairytale land deal. It’s an expiring deal that we overvalued? Nobody said David Pastrnak for Travis Konecny here.

“Win some games” is amazing out of Tom Carroll and the truth. Instead of worrying about us, worry about the Tampa Bay Lightning please.
No one in this organization should complain about fans being unfair. They are genuinely the laughing stock of the eastern conference.
As John Tortorella has said, it’s the bed that they’ve made for themselves.
