Joel Embiid named Eastern Conference Player of the Week

Sixers center Joel Embiid has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week after going 4-0 and dominating everyone in his way over the last seven days.

Joel Embiid and Domantas Sabonis Win Players of the Week

Joel has averaged 38.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks over his last four games while leading the Sixers to a 4-0 record vs. the Pacers, Timberwolves, Trail Blazers, and Wizards. Before the Pacers game, the Sixers also got a crucial win against the Milwaukee Bucks, where Joel Embiid finished with 31 points and ten assists.

Embiid leads the entire league in scoring while nearing a career-high in APG as well. Joel is averaging 33.4 points, 10.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.6 blocks in 54 games this season with a 53.9/35.4/.85.4 shooting split.

Joel Embiid is now a 3-time winner of the POTW award this season and is sneakily catching up to Nikola Jokic (fraud) in the MVP race. Although Jokic (-190) still leads in odds, Embiid is catching up, going from +290 to +210 in just a few days.
