Joel Embiid, Sixers win 7th straight, make quick work of the Hornets in Buzz City 121-82

The Philadelphia 76ers kept things rolling last night with a 121-82 win over the Charlotte Hornets.
The Sixers dominated on both ends of the court from the opening tipoff and cruised to their seventh straight win thanks to another masterclass from MVP frontrunner Joel Embiid.
Embiid poured in 38 points to go along with 13 rebounds, five assists, and four blocks while shooting 16-of-21 from the floor.
With another 35+ point game, Embiid has now tied Moses Malone for the most 35+ point games by a center in a season since the NBA merger.
Here’s your daily reminder that Moses Malone won MVP that season.
James Harden notched an 11-point, 10 assist, and 11 rebound triple double, while Tobias Harris finally snapped out of his recent struggles, scoring 18 points to go along with five rebounds.
I know everyone is always down on Harris and his recent struggles were painful to watch, but when he’s contributing on the offensive side of the court for the Sixers, that’s a really good sign for the Sixers as they close out the regular season and set sights on the playoffs.
Tyrese Maxey scored 13 points while the bench put up some decent numbers, with De’Anthony Melton scoring eight points with five rebounds. Paul Reed had eight and 10 rebounds, while Shake Milton added 12 points in the win.
With the win, the Sixers improved to 47-22 on the season. They are winners of seven straight games and are 8-2 over the last 10, now just a game behind the Boston Celtics in second and 2.5 games behind the East-leading Milwaukee Bucks.
13 games left and a quick turnaround tonight in Indiana against the Pacers before heading home to face the Bulls on Monday night.
