Aaron Nola will start his sixth Opening Day in a row for the Phillies

Phillies ace Aaron Nola will officially get the ball on Opening Day, making this his 6th consecutive Opening Day start for the Phillies.
Aaron Nola confirmed for 6th straight Opening Day start
The Phillies open up their 2023 campaign with two series on the road as they kick off the season down in Texas vs. the Rangers. Jacob deGrom, who signed a massive contract with the Rangers this offseason, will more than likely get the start, barring injuries.
Three games will be played in Texas, followed by a trip up north to New York City to take on the Yankees. If you haven’t already, check out Phans of Philly and their upcoming bus trip to NYC. The Liberty Line squad will be there, along with our guy Dunphy.
Aaron trails just Robin Roberts (12) and Curt Schilling (10) for the most Opening Day starts in franchise history. Nola, entering his 9th season with the Phillies, tallied a 3.25 ERA and 235 strikeouts in 2022.
