The ring has over 600 gemstones with many memorable quotes and moments from the magical postseason run. “Dancing On My Own” is etched on the side of the ring, along with the final score of each clinching game against the Cardinals, Braves, and Padres, as well as real leather from a used baseball from the NLCS.
“With the electrifying postseason run that the club had, we knew we needed to design a ring that is symbolic of the galvanizing impact it had on our players, our fans, and the city. Jason of Beverly Hills has been the perfect partner to accomplish that goal. It’s a stunning ring that honors this team’s special accomplishment. Jason took what we wanted to the next level. We are thrilled with his work.” – John Middlteon
63 players and personnel received rings today, and John Middleton made it known that everyone that contributed last season, no matter the capacity, received a ring. Even guys that got a few innings on the season, like Francisco Morales, Scott Kingery, and more, received rings.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the stadium for the last two announcements during today’s ceremony. Bryce Harper was announced, who is progressing through his Tommy John recovery, and Rhys Hoskins was the last player announced by legendary in-house voice Dan Baker.
Hoskins received a deserved standing ovation as he walked the red carpet on crutches.
The Phils go for the sweep today after a wild 9th-inning rally on Saturday. Taijuan Walker makes his Citizens Bank Park debut, while Bryson Stott has moved up to 5th in the lineup after a hot 8-game start.
