Nick Castellanos hit 2 home runs yesterday to lead the Phillies to a 4-3 win, Zack Wheeler on the mound today at 12:05PM

Nick Castellanos hit two home runs yesterday – his first two of the 2023 season and his first multi-home run game in a Phillies uniform, to lead The Fightins past the lowly Colorado Rockies 4-3.Â
The Phillies continued their uphill climb to get back to .500 with the win yesterday and now sit at 10-12 on the season.
Castellanos got the Phillies on the board in the bottom of the second inning with a solo shot to left field, ending the longest stretch of his career in starting the season without a home run.
What makes it even more crazy, is that Castellanos hasn’t hit a home run since August 27, 2022.Â

The Rockies managed to tie the game in the top of the third inning thanks to a Jurickson Profar ground out to Trea Turner that scored Alan Trejo, but the Phillies managed to strike back immediately in the bottom of the third inning thanks to a surprising two-run home run from Cristian Pache.Â

Cristopher Sanchez made his first start of the season yesterday for the Philadelphia Phillies and ran into a little bit of trouble in the fourth and fifth innings.
He coughed up a double in the top of the fourth inning to Yonathan Daza to pull the Rockies within one run, then let Mike Moustakas tack on another run in the top of the fifth on a sac fly that scored Charlie Blackmon.
Sanchez ended the day throwing 4.1 innings, allowing five hits, three earned runs, and two walks while striking out five.
After opening up the game with a solo home run in the second inning, Castellanos hit another in the bottom of the sixth inning to snap the 3-3 tie and give the Phillies the deciding run.Â

From there, the Phillies bullpen of Brogdon, Soto, Dominguez, and Kimbrel shut down the Rockies to seal the 4-3 win.
Up Next for the PhilliesÂ
Looking ahead, the Phillies will have a rare 12:05PM game today to wrap up their series with the Rockies. It will be streamed exclusively on Peacock (annoying) so make sure you have your family ready to go around noon for first pitch.Â
The Phillies will send Zack Wheeler to the mound (1-1, 4.79 ERA) to face off against Jose Arena (0-3, 9.82 ERA) looking to take 3-of-4 from the Rockies before opening up a 3-game series at home against the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night.
