Doc Rivers says that James Harden is a grown man and can do whatever he wants when answering question about trip to Las Vegas during playoff run

Doc Rivers spoke to the media and fielded a question about James Harden leaving for Las Vegas following the Sixers’ first round sweep of the Brooklyn Nets.
For whatever reason, a reporter brought up the incident and asked Rivers if he had any issues with Harden leaving for Vegas in the middle of a playoff run.
Trust me, I don’t say this very often, but Doc Rivers answered the question perfectly and is 100% correct.
Rivers didn’t have a problem with Harden going to Las Vegas in the middle of the playoffs, obviously.
Doc Rivers on James Harden going to Vegas
“James called me before he went, and I was like, ‘So what? Do it.’ Dennis Rodman went to Vegas. They asked me about it, and I said, ‘We had three days off.’ I told them to do whatever they want. He’s a grown man. I didn’t care.”
Again, I’m not even sure why a reporter asked him about it to begin with, but at least the Sixers’ head coach had the right take on the situation.
Side Note: Comparing Dennis Rodman hopping on a motorcycle with a few tall boys and riding that to Las Vegas to meet up and lock himself in a hotel room with Carmen Electra only to have Michael Jordan go to Vegas to get him to come back for the playoffs is pretty wild, but that’s beyond the point.
But honesty, who really gives a shit?
This reporter was just trying to cause problems and create drama-filled headlines that no one really gives a shit about anymore, even more so when it’s now been at least two weeks since the incident in question.
I fell like a lot of reporters tend to look at situations like this from the leans as if they were going to be doing something like that.
When James Harden wants to travel across country, he takes a private jet, can easily pop in and out of any city, and be back to where he needs to be within a matter of hours.
Plus, if we are being totally honest, Harden should have went again after his Game 1 masterclass at the TD Garden.
The incident in question was when Harden went to Vegas and was caught on video slapping on of his buddies outside of a night club by some rat who then sent the clip to TMZ.
He followed up the headlines by dropping 45 points on the heads of the Boston Celtics in Game 1 and the Sixers won in upset fashion, ultimately earning home court advantage as the series shifts back to South Philly for Game 3 tonight.
Harden should have went to Vegas after Game 1. Maybe he would have avoided laying a fat goose egg in Game 2 against Boston, where he shot just 2-of-14 from the floor as the Sixers lost by 34 points.
