Bigger Than Basketball: James Harden gifts Michigan State mass shooting survivor tickets to Game 4, gives him shoes following 42-point masterclass

The Philadelphia 76ers got a crucial win on Sunday afternoon, powered by a 42-point masterclass from James Harden.

A few months ago, Michigan State University student John Hao was paralyzed following a shooting on campus. His favorite NBA player, James Harden contact him via FaceTime and told him when he was healthy enough, that Hao and his family would have to come watch him and the Sixers play basketball.
Ahead of a pivotal Game 4 in South Philadelphia with John Hao in attendance, James Harden dropped 42 points to go along with eight rebounds and nine assists while shooting 69 percent from the floor.
John Hao got to sit in a box for today’s Sixers second-round matchup with the Boston Celtics and witnessed Harden’s most clutch game in a Sixers uniform that guided the Sixers to a 116-115 overtime victory to tie the series 2-2.
Following the game, Harden met Hao on the court and gifted him game worn shoes.
We all know what James can do on the court, but what separates James from others, according to Tyrese Maxey and Tobias Harris, is how genuine of a person he is.
