All-NBA Teams Announced: Joel Embiid earns First Team honors, beating out Nikola Jokic at center

After finally being crowned the NBA’s Most Valuable Player, Joel Embiid has been named to the All-NBA First Team for the 2022-2023 season.
The NBA announced each All-NBA squad last night, with Embiid making the First Team for the first time in his career.
Joining Embiid, is Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics, and Shai Gilegous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Embiid finally landed a First Team selection at the center spot, relegating Nikola Jokic to the second unit.
Jokic earned a first-team nod and the MVP title in each of the previous two seasons.
This will be the final season where All-NBA Teams are selected by position.
Embiid finished the regular season averaging 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.7 blocks per game.
