Bryce Harper calls Rockies fans losers after clutch home run, Phillies win fifth straight game 7-4

The Philadelphia Phillies just won their first series in Colorado since 2012, beating the Rockies 7-4.
The Phillies have now won six out of their last eight series.
In their last 15 games, they have won 4 straight games, lost six straight games, and won five straight games. They are now 20-19 on the season and five games behind the first place Atlanta Braves in the NL East standings.
Nick Castellanos got things rolling for the Phillies tonight in the top of the first inning with an RBI single to score Trea Turner.
Alec Bohm then singled to center field to score Bryce Harper and Castellanos.
Kody Clemens grounded out to first base to score Kyle Schwarber and just like that, the Phillies jumped out to an early 4-0 lead.
Ranger Suarez made his 2023 season debut tonight and pitched okay. Suarez allowed seven hits and three earned runs while walking one and striking out four. Luckily, the bullpen featuring Connor Brogdon, Andrew Bellatti, Jeff Hoffman, and Gregory Soto picked Suarez up and allowed just one hit and one run (unearned) over the final five innings.
The Rockies battled back against Suarez scoring a run in the 2nd and two in the 3rd to cut the Phillies lead to just one run.
Garrett Stubbs, who got the start after JT Realmuto was ruled out due to a sprained finger, singled on a line drive to right field to give the Phillies a 5-3 lead in the top of the eighth inning.
In the bottom of the eighth, Ezeqiel Tovar plated a run for the Rockies to cut the Phillies lead back down to a single run.
Enter Bryce Harper.
MV3 stepped into the on-deck circle in the top of the ninth inning as a group of college kids who were sitting behind home plate starting firing off trivia questions his way. One of the kids, then told Harper that he would bet that he’d strikeout.
Here’s what Bryce Harper did.
Harper responded by absolutely destroying a baseball to deep right center field to give the Phillies an extra two runs in the ninth. He then rounded the bases, pointed at the fans who were talking shit, and then headed back into the dugout before asking the kids “what happened” and calling them “fucking losers.”
Simply incredible.
The Phillies will look to sweep the Rockies tomorrow with Aaron Nola on the mound. 3:10PM first pitch. Ring it.
Grow up Bryce.
I live in Colorado. Rockies fans are losers.
Lights out Lidge!!!
After what Bird did to the Phillies yesterday it is only fair for Bryce Harper to call the Rockies fans losers.
