As wild as a Harden and Beverly reunion in Houston sounds, it’s essential to at least consider these speculations could be a leverage play by the players and their agents.
I’m not saying Harden’s reported interest in returning to Houston is all a ploy, but it ultimately depends on the Rockets’ willingness to engage in this. The Rockets franchise appears to be in a total rebuild, so it would undoubtedly raise some question marks about its mentality.
