As wild as a Harden and Beverly reunion in Houston sounds, it’s essential to at least consider these speculations could be a leverage play by the players and their agents.
I’m not saying Harden’s reported interest in returning to Houston is all a ploy, but it ultimately depends on the Rockets’ willingness to engage in this. The Rockets franchise appears to be in a total rebuild, so it would undoubtedly raise some question marks about its mentality.
There’s a lot of reunion talk here, and as Sixers fans, we should all hope Daryl Morey doesn’t fall for any of these tactics and prioritize the Sixer’s title chances rather than trying to resurrect the Houston Rockets of old.
